What is Myfitbrain?

Myfitbrain, Inc. is a Glenview, IL based company founded to help as many people as possible keep their brains sharp for as long as possible as they age. Myfitbrain was founded on the proposition that brain training games should be available at no cost to as many people as possible worldwide. Everyone should have the ability to keep their brain sharp as they age regardless of their income or where they live. Our focus is on bringing you a robust mental gaming environment, that maximizes your ability to create new neurons and keep your brain as sharp as possible. To offer this free, myfitbrain incorporates advertising into the games themselves so you are not distracted by obnoxious advertising. We receive revenue from advertisers to support development of new games and support the infrastructure required to support our fast growing base. We hope that you enjoy and feel a significant benefit from our system and will tell all your friends. We have decided not to spend our money on large marketing budgets or huge research endeavors, but rather do everything we can to keep our system free to all.

What are the benefits of exercising my brain?

Scientific research has shown that adults can improve cognitive abilities with proper training. When the brain is challenged with novel activities of increasing difficulty, it will increase in density and have more cognitive reserve. With a higher cognitive reserve, the brain will perform optimally and in turn this will delay some of the natural effects of aging.

In addition to improvements in working memory and attention, Myfitbrain users will also improve their cognitive abilities used in the specific exercises played, like memory, auditory, logic, etc...

Can anyone benefit from Myfitbrain?

Anyone can benefit from utilizing Myfitbrain. Myfitbrain is optimally designed for those in the 40+ demographic who have not begun outwardly displaying signs of Alzheimer or dementia.

How does it work?

You can think of Myfitbrain like a gymnasium for your brain. Myfitbrain starts you off at the easiest level for each exercise type. After you successfully pass three exercises of one type within the guidelines for that exercise, you are automatically moved to a more difficult type. After 10 minutes of exercising with any one type, the system will move you to the next type to maximize the neuron growth potential.

What does it consist of?

Myfitbrain contains a circuit of exercises - similar to what you would find at a gym for your body. Each exercise category focuses on a different cognitive ability. There may be multiple exercises in a category to increase the novelty of that exercise and increase potential neuron growth.

How long does each session take?

Our curriculum is designed to fit around you. We encourage you to workout 30 minutes a day. However, the curriculum does allow you to train as much or as little as you want. The more you work out, the more benefit you will receive. Remember you also need to take care of your physical body and get proper sleep to maximize the benefits.

When will I see a difference?

This depends on the individual and how much you are training. Many people see improvements in as little as 10 sessions.
